S auteed shrimp, broiled shrimp, fried shrimp, any kind of shrimp,
H ot and spicy shrimp, garlicky shrimp, coconut shrimp, creamy shrimp,
R ub my hands in glee when I see shrimp,
I mpossible not to like shrimp,
M om's shrimp is the best home-cooked shrimp,
P lease let me have more, and more shrimp!
Don't know when I started to like shrimp. When I was little, we could not afford to have shrimp. I probably did not taste shrimp till I was older, and able to eat it without gagging! We were not as poor as we used to be then, and we had shrimp on special occasions, like Chinese New Year.
My mom cooks the spiciest, and most delicious shrimp! Since I have moved away from home, I only get to go home during the summer - after about 24 hours of plane ride. My mom cooks shrimp almost every other meal I am home. Her shrimp are always jumbo-sized too! I have to make sure I get her Shrimp Recipes, the next time I am home.
Grilled shrimp is my favorite when I eat out. I like popcorn shrimp too! I don't know why I like shrimp. Perhaps, it is the Shrimp's texture, when it is fresh, and cooked right. It is sweet on its own, but when it has absorbed whatever spices it has been cooked in - ooh!!! Indescribably delicious! I cannot imagine anyone who does not like shrimp. I know some people who choose not to eat shrimp because they are too lazy to peel the shell. When I invite guests over for a shrimp dish, I usually peel the shell, but leave the tails. When I am home, and when we have steam-boat, the shrimp shell sweetens the soup. We usually boil the shrimp whole, peel the shell when it is cooked, and dip it in hot sauce!
