Blinds to the Rescue

The sun woke Mary up. She could feel it warming her skin through her blanket. She stared into the sun streaming in through her window. She just moved into her apartment yesterday. Her very first apartment away from home! She also paid for it herself!

Mary had not done any furnishing yet. Most of her things were still in boxes. However, she did not want the sun waking her up every morning. She would have to see about hanging something on the windows to block out the sun really soon. It was Saturday, so she did not have to report for work. She slowly crawled out of bed, and looked out the window. She loved her new apartment! She loved her new life!

The door bell rang! Who could it be, so early in the morning? Mary wondered. She checked herself in the mirror as she passed by the bathroom. She did not look too good, but she did not care. If this person felt it was all right to make such an early call, she or he did not deserve a gorgeous looking her! "Mary! It's me, your big sister!" Her sister's voice penetrated the door.

She opened the door excitedly! It was her sister, Florence! She had heard about Mary's new apartment, and had come to help her little sister unpack, and do up her new home. The sisters were glad to see each other. Florence had an eye for colors. She could help Mary furnish the place.

Mary told Florence about the windows in her bedroom. Florence took one look at her windows, and shouted excitedly, "Blinds! You should get some blinds!" She continued, "I found some lovely, and not very expensive ones from this website for my house, and I love them!" Florence then turned on Mary's computer, and showed her the website she was talking about. Mary and Florence viewed all the different kinds of blinds offered by Terry's Fabrics, and were having fun picking out the ones that suited Mary's taste, and complemented her bedroom colors. Mary was surprised how affordable the blinds were, and what a great variety was available. She was happy she would not have to be awakened by the blinding glare of the sun soon! Life was good!
