Dubbing

My husband should have been a songwriter. Whenever we hear a song and the mood strikes him right, he dubs his own words over the song. The lyrics are actually quite clever and entertaining. For example, we were grilling out with some friends on Friday and he dubbed over one of Nelly’s famous tunes. Instead of singing the original lyrics, “you can find me in St. Louie…” he was singing (to the beat of course), “ you can find me watching DIRECTV”. His favorite genre to dub lyrics to is country music. It is a great skill to have on road trips. His friends and my family think that his dubs are hilarious and attempt to come up with their own. A couple of his friends have caught on a gotten pretty good dubbing. Others are terrible at it. He has one friend who we have banned from dubbing. All of his dubbed over lyrics were inappropriate ( 7th grade boy humor). I still have not mastered the skill, but love hearing people try.
